About the MSU Stormwater Committee

Stormwater is managed on the MSU campus by a team of faculty, staff and students representing a broad cross-section of the University. Units and Departments that are playing a role in managing stormwater runoff and implementing the University’s Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) include the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), IPF Planning, Design and Construction (PDC), IPF Landscape Services, IPF Power and Water, AgBioResearch, MSU Sustainability, Residential and Hospitality Services, Institute of Water Research, MSU Police, Department of Community Sustainability, Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering, and Department of Horticulture.


A Stormwater Committee comprised of representatives from a subset of these units and chaired by the by IPF Planning Design and Construction Director John Lefevre. The committee meets monthly to oversee SWMP activities and to direct additional campus-based stormwater activities.
